What skills and knowledge an MA Design Management graduate should have in order to be employable in the creative industries sector, in my opinion?

The historical development of design management teaches us that the main perspective in the new century is Design thinking, that the role of design are New business models, and last but not least the focus of Design Management are Creative organisations.

In my opinion an MA Design Management graduate should have not only strong knowledge and skills, but particularly Design Management know-how, connected especially with the know-how of the 21st century business model patterns.

Three options to create value for the business and for the society

Your organisation has three possibilities to focus on in creating value for the business and for the society. First are processes. Second are new products and services’. And the third option, where you have the opportunity to create the most value are business models.

The good news is, all three options are not linearly connected but are rather independent from each other. Without any doubt, though: business model innovation brings the strongest value not only to business but also to the society.
